And when they finally moved the fuel tanks around and got rid of the flat spin issue. And quad Hispano 20mm is a terrifying threat for any bf109 pilot Yes I’m aware the Hispano version of the aircraft didn’t see much combat the p51 d with 6 .50caliber machine guns did
OMG SO BEAUTIFUL AHHH I LOVE THE P-51
Who agrees with me❤
I guess this is the goodbye at last
Are you from Minnesota?
That's a sexy plane
Only good cos it borrowed the RR merlin engines.
The P-51 is such a dope plane😮💨
Hey there brother I’m going into the US Navy in a 3 years and wanted to study a few planes to make my understanding of them better so when I’m flying it I won’t mess up, I noticed you did a complete in depth speech about this plane and some functions. I was wondering if you could do this for the T34-C or a T35 goshawk. If not a Cessna 172 would work along with a T6-Texan 2 thank you for making this video, have a good day and god bless!😎🤝
KEEP THOSE AIRCRAFT COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The most iconic fighter of world war two was the spitfire, sorry, even as an American I can admit that
👾👾👾👾👾
🫡🇺🇲✝️☮️
Beautiful plane
TF-51 converted post war for training
*one of the most iconic planes
Also the aluminum the airframe was made from would corrode quickly from the sea air
The Brits didn't make the p-51.
Most iconic allied fighter that is
Nah, spitfire is more iconic, and arguably quite a lot better…
And it took the Brits - the Royal Navy - to figure out how to make the Corsair work as a carrier plane.
It only became that fast after the British pulled the American made Allison engines and replaced them with Rolls Royce Merlin engines. Later Rolls Royce licensed the Packard company to manufacture the Merlin and the Mustang started shipping with it.
There’s no replacement for displacement!! Those Wasp and the Wasp jr engines were bullet proof.
Make more this beautiful machine
I'd argue the Spitfire is more iconic. Although that could be a culture thing because I'm from the UK and almost everyone can recognise a Spitfire, I imagine there's a similar thing with the Mustang in America
Personally the spitfire was the most iconic
bro really said the griddy
The corsair flying formation with it though… such a stunning aircraft to see fly
Idk the spitfire is a great plane too
The best retro mod ever!
That ain’t no fricking mustang
P-51 is definitely the most iconic along with the bf-109 but honestly my favourite is the mosquito!
IT TOOK AMERICAN ENGINENUITY TO BUILD A V-12 BLOCK OUT OF THE ROLLS-ROYCE ENGINE THREW - PACKARD ENGINE COMPANY USA 🇺🇸 THEN IT WAS INSTALLED INTO THE P51 MUSTANG !
"most iconic fighter of WW2" The BF 109: "am I a joke to you?"
Only Americans think ist’s the most iconic plane of WW2
How to win a war: plane+car engine
Keep in mind it's the plane they gave Pappy Boyington and the Black Sheep squadron in the Pacific
Not as good in war thunder😢
I’d prolly say the spitfire is more iconic
The Spitfire probably had the biggest effect on britain and europe
Masterpiece
Most iconic? Nah, thats spitfire
Protect him from the Terminator!!
Gorgeous planes love them! They are so cool.
I know jets are faster and easier to maintain etc but I think the last propeller driven birds are cool, fast and can take way more damage, like the thunderbolt jug with 8 50 caliber machine guns are bad ace! I do love the BF 109, BF 110 and the Falkerwolf 190 can’t forget the ME 262 fighter jet. It passed the B17 like they were sitting still. I often daydream about being born around the end of WWl so I could fly the lightning P38, P39, Hellcat and the Corsair warbirds! There’s so many good airplanes far too many to mention in this post but I love them all and it’s history. Thank you for taking the time to record and share this to everyone.
best plane ever
Except for range and firepower.
The Army flew AT-28s during the Vietnam War as attack bombers. Once the USAF found out they cried foul. The Air Force demanded that Army fixed wing attack bomber missions be halted immediately. The Army saved countless lives with this innovation. The USAF could have cared less.
Don't make that mistake..Fly Navy
My grandpa flew a P-51-D for the New Zealand royal Air Force! I’m working on a rc one that has a 10 foot wingspan but I accidentally broke the wing so I have to do a few repairs to it before I start adding the mechanical stuff to it
America's delusion is on whole another level
